THE FOUNDERS OF ROC E6

It all started in 1988 when Art joined the Greater Rochester Chapter of Big Brothers and Big Sisters and took Arkee under his wing. Nearly 30 years later and they still talk on a daily basis, bounce ideas off of each other, and most importantly share a passion for growing lacrosse within the inner-city.

OUR COACHING STAFF

The ROC E6 staff isn't your typical group of coaches. The reason we coach is different. We all have a passion for the game; but more importantly we genuinely want to see the game of lacrosse grow within the City of Rochester.

LONDON BOOKER

Coach/Vice President

A graduate of Gates-Chili HS, who went on to play four years of college lacrosse at Division II Roberts Wesleyan University. London epitomizes everything that is ROC E6, being one of the first players to take part in the program back in 2006. London serves as the Liaison for the program. In addition, he coaches with FCA during the summer.

EVAN BURLEY

Coach

A graduate of Canandaigua and 2009 New York State champion in lacrosse, who went on to play four years of college lacrosse at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Evan was a two-time captain for the Tigers and Jake Coon. His leadership and passion for the game are unprecedented.

TYLER RUSSELL

Coach

A graduate of Livonia High School who went on to play four years of college lacrosse at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Tyler holds the record for most goals in a season (69) for the Tigers. Before thinking about playing any high school or college lacrosse, Tyler was coached by Art as a 5th and 6th grader.

RON CARSON

Coach

A graduate of Fairport High School and the Rochester Institute of Technology. Ron's passions for lacrosse spans across multiple decades. He has coached numerous players in the area who have went on to play at the highest levels, some playing professionally. He was one of the founders of the Fairport Youth Lacrosse Tournament that has been going on for 27 years.

MARK ALVUT

Like his brother Art, Mark has been around the sport of lacrosse for a long time. He spent his high school days playing at Fairport High School and went on to play four years at SUNY Brockport. His passion and knowledge for the sport are unparalleled, as he has served on numerous town boards and is involved with US Lacrosse currently.

BYRON WADDELL

Another graduate of Fairport High School who went on to play college football at Utica College. Byron is a fine example of what the ROC E6 program can do for a young man. He started with ROC E6 as a camper in 2005 and continued to play in the program until 2009 when he moved to Fairport by way of the Urban/Suburban Program.
